Kyzylkup “Tiramisu” Hills

Kyzylkup “Tiramisu” Hills – A Hidden Gem of Mangystau

Introduction:

Welcome to the Kyzylkup Tract, famously nicknamed the “Tiramisu Hills” due to its stunning, dessert-like layers of red, orange, and white sediment. Located in the heart of Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan, this natural wonder is rapidly becoming a favorite destination for photographers, adventurers, and nature lovers.

What Are the Kyzylkup Hills?

The Kyzylkup Hills are a collection of colorful, layered hills formed from ancient seabed sediment deposited millions of years ago by the prehistoric Tethys Ocean. The alternating stripes of clay, chalk, and sandstone resemble a giant slice of tiramisu cake, giving the hills their nickname. Their soft, rounded shapes and vivid coloring make this landscape one of the most unique geological formations in Central Asia.

📸 Photographer’s Paradise: The unique formations, rich colors, and expansive views make this a must-see for any nature or travel photographer.
