📐 Architectural Marvel

Designed by world-renowned architect Norman Foster, the Palace is an impressive 62-meter-high pyramid structure, completed in 2006. Its clean geometric form, rising above a grassy hill, contrasts elegantly with the surrounding cityscape. The building is constructed from glass, aluminum, and limestone, with a specially reinforced frame to withstand Astana’s extreme temperatures.

A key architectural feature is the golden apex, decorated with images of 130 doves representing Kazakhstan’s many ethnic groups living in harmony.

🌐 Purpose and Symbolism

The Palace was built specifically to host the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, an international event held every three years in Astana. Its design and layout reflect the country’s vision of a world united by dialogue and mutual respect.

Each of the building’s five floors symbolizes a journey from the earthly to the spiritual:
